SMS Communications
Employee Opt-In · Pelican Credentials LLC · Effective Date: May 12, 2026
1. How Employees Opt In
Employees opt in to receive SMS notifications during the onboarding process at their employing agency. As part of new hire paperwork, employees complete a consent form where they provide their mobile phone number within the same form and are presented with a clear SMS disclosure. Employees must actively check an unchecked consent box agreeing to receive SMS messages. The checkbox is not pre-selected. Consent is voluntary and not a condition of employment. All opt-in records are retained in the employee's personnel file.
All opt-ins are collected directly from employees by the employing agency. No third-party data sources are used.
2. Consent Language
The following consent language is presented to employees on their new hire paperwork:
"I consent to receive SMS messages from [Agency Name] for employment-related and account notifications, including compliance reminders, credentialing updates, scheduling, and payroll-related notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance."
